RED OAK
Red oak wood is generally very similar to the white one, with less typical look due to the smaller number of rays it has, the increased porosity and the design of its water.
Red oak wood is hard and heavy, has limited elasticity and is highly resistant to breaking.
It can be found in East America and South-east Canada.
In many areas of Cyprus, it is chosen due to the ease with which it can be processed into veneers and flooring, with nice finishing. It is also used in building and furniture construction, exterior design, interior carpentry, staircases and decorations, doors and kitchen cupboards.
